The fortieth anniversary of the Miners’ Strike and the police riot at Orgreave will be marked in 2024, more details and confirmation of the date and timings are expected closer to the event.

Support the campaign for truth and justice

The Annual Orgreave Rally organised by the Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign, commemorating the 39th anniversary of the Miners’ Strike and the police riot at Orgreave took place on Saturday 17 June. Supporters brought banners, placards, drums, whistles and their family and friends. Led by the Unite Brass Band they marched through Sheffield city centre to support the call for an inquiry for truth and justice for striking miners brutalised by the state and police at the Orgreave Coking plant on 18 June 1984.
