SOS for jobs!
Our country continues to battle against the most significant health and economic crisis of our generation.
Unite, has been working tirelessly to protect your jobs, and pulling out all the stops to find new ways of working and new products to bring to the shop floor.
But we are very alive to the huge challenges on the near horizon. The UK government is determined to end the national job retention scheme in only a matter of weeks but we are still in the midst of this crisis.
This is putting manufacturing jobs, skills and the wider UK economy in danger.
We are also out of step with many of our neighbours, including Germany and France who are giving longer term assistance with targeted support including short-time working.
That's why Unite is stepping up its campaign to persuade the government to do more to support working people like you. We hope that you will take part in the campaign.

In early September, workers from across the UK traveled to London to persuade the prime minister to think again on a focused sector level extension of the job retention scheme. Watch some of their messages below.
