Following the Industrial Action negotiations in ‘A’ scales this week, we are pleased to announce that ‘A’ scales terminal colleagues are now balloting on an improved offer.

In light of the 'good faith' clause in the wider 2022 pay agreement, the company also wrote to Unite and proposed to uplift pay for all relevant non-management grades.

You will obviously note that the offer outlined below is in addition to the previous 5% paid earlier this year.

  • Implementation of a consolidated 5% backdated pay uplift in from 1st September 2022
  • The associated Jan to August backdated pay (lump sum) is being to paid in August
  • Implementation of a consolidated 3% uplift from 1st December 2022.

Taken in conjunction with the initial Pay 2022 offer this represents a pay package of 13% for the year, with either all or a significant proportion being consolidated pay.

The details of the offer will shortly be circulated and representatives will then discuss the offer before the ballot of members takes place.

The offer itself is solely in relation to the pay element of the 2022 pay agreement, and does not relate to other issues or agreements that are in place across BA.
