So many students in full-time education work
whilst they’re studying, in fact the amount has gone up by 50%
since 1997. While Student Unions protect your interests and welfare
in and out of campus only a trade union, like Unite, can provide
empowerment and representation in the workplace.
Unite is a trade union with over two million
members, we’re the biggest and the only trade union to run a
campaign that fights for working students in every sector of the
economy. So whether it’s bar work, shop floor or the call centre
from hell you can join us and get the respect you deserve at
work.
Our campaign encourages students to know their
rights, become active within the trade and student union movements,
campaign for social justice and take a stand at work.
For some students it’s an OK deal in
employment, for most it’s a weekly visit to bullying, harassment
and dehumanisation. We can sort this out, but only if we work
together.
