Union post Nov 2009Tens of thousands of Unite members joined a nationwide protest today against the economic policies of the Irish government in November 2009. Well over 100,000 working people took to the streets of Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford, Dundalk, Sligo and Tullamore in a show of unity and strength that marks the start of a popular campaign to turn back from cuts and concentrate on the investment which has lifted every other developed economy from the worst effects of the financial crisis.
