Unite welcomes the government's decision to move ahead with plans
to order a third batch of Eurofighter Typhoon jets

Unite, Britain's biggest union, has welcomed today's
announcement from the government, to move ahead with procuring a
third batch of Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft for the Royal Air
Force.
Unite national officer, Bernie Hamilton, said: "The prime
minister's announcement is excellent news, not just for the UK's
armed forces but for 10,000 jobs in the UK's aerospace sector.
"This decision retains highly skilled jobs which will underpin
the UK's technological capabilities for future generations.
Unite members at sites in Edinburgh, Greater Manchester and Bristol
will benefit ,as well as workers in the supply chain."
