Lloyds make further 211 job losses

21st May 2009

Rob MacGregor, Unite national officer, said: “Another day and another group of finance workers have been devastated by job losses at the Lloyds Banking Group. Today 211 staff have been told that they will be losing their jobs by January 2010.

“Unite is calling on the Lloyds Banking Group to clarify the impact of the cuts to the 1,200 staff in the division that will be affected by this latest decision. Unite is angry that employees continue to live with ambiguity about their futures. The bank must, as a matter of urgency, tell staff of its long-term plans for the workforce.”
