Unite dismisses newspaper claims about ‘Save our NHS’ campaign

19 January 2014

Commenting on newspaper reports about Unite’s ‘Save our NHS’ campaign, a Unite spokesman, said: “Newspaper reports today that Unite is considering holding demonstrations outside the homes or surgeries of GPs are entirely untrue. Such actions have never been contemplated by the union, still less agreed.

“They are a desperate attempt by the government's media friends to distract from David Cameron's betrayal of the NHS he promised to protect.

“Unite will continue campaigning to save our health service from being handed over to his fat-cat friends, but our targets will of course be the parasites, not the professionals."
