Scottish Parliamentary Elections 2016 Update: Unite endorsements confirmed for Scottish Labour party ‘list’ selection

For your information, the Unite Scotland Executive Committee have endorsed a number of candidates seeking selection to the Scottish Labour Party's regional lists of candidates for list seats at the 2016 Scottish Parliament elections.

Unite’s Scottish Executive confirmed these candidate endorsements following consideration of the record of the candidates support for both Unite and wider trade union campaigns and policies.

However, the Unite Scottish Executive also factored the complexities of the voting system in this particular internal Labour party selection process and the relatively high number of candidates seeking selection to a limited number of places across the regional areas.

Also for your information, please note that we have listed candidates below in alphabetical order and not in order of preference.

Unite members eligible to vote (i.e. those who are also full members of the Labour Party) should receive ballot papers directly from the Labour Party from 4th January 2016.
