The Community Practitioners’ and Health Visitors’ Association will be holding its annual professional conference, Public Health Nursing – Fit for the Future, next month.

- Seema Malhotra MP, the first ever shadow Minister for Preventing Violence Against Women and Girls, will address the threat to women and girls in our society
- Unite assistant general secretary Gail Cartmail who will give the opening address
- CPHVA president and Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee will give the presidential address
- Nursing and Midwifery Council chief executive Jackie Smith will speak on what revalidation will mean and the recent registration fee increase
