Commenting after a meeting today with James Farley chairman and the CEO of Ford Europe, the general secretary of Unite, the biggest union in the UK and Ireland, Len McCluskey said: “Our concerns in relation to Ford’s commitment to its UK plants, and in particular to the Bridgend engine plant, were set out to the chairman and CEO of Ford Europe today.
“It was a frank exchange of views, but Unite impressed upon the Ford team that the UK plants deserve a bright future.”
Len McCluskey held talks with the CEO of Ford UK in London today (Friday 7 October). He will report back to Unite’s convenors and members at Ford about the talks and next stages in the coming weeks.
