Argos drivers in Staffordshire overwhelmingly vote to accept deal

16 December 2016

The drivers working for Wincanton based at Argos’ flagship national distribution centre (NDC) at Barton-under-Needwood, near Burton on Trent, in Staffordshire have voted by a majority of 95 per cent to accept the deal.

The confidential deal was hammered out between the country’s largest union, Unite and logistics firm Wincanton, under the auspices of the conciliation service Acas, earlier this week.

Unite regional officer Rick Coyle said today (Friday 16 December): “With 95 per cent of the drivers supporting the offer, it is pleasing for all concerned that this dispute is now fully concluded and our members are working normally.”
