Unite, one of the largest unions in Wales, has described today’s decision by bus company Stagecoach to close its Brynmawr depot, putting 77 jobs at risk, as ‘disappointing and distressing’.
Unite Wales Officer, John Toner said:
“It is an understatement to say today’s decision by Stagecoach to close its Brynmawr depot is disappointing and distressing news for our members.
Going forward now into the consultation period, our focus will be on working constructively on behalf of our members to ensure the best possible future for them and minimise any potential redundancies.”
