Unite, one of the largest union’s in Wales, has described today’s news of potential job losses at the Linde factory in Merthyr Tydfil as a ‘blow to the workforce’.
The Kion Group owned company has announced plans to enter into the 90 day consultation period with its 203 strong workforce.
Unite regional officer Graham Smith said:
“We are clearly disappointed by today’s announcement by Linde which comes as a blow to the workforce in Merthyr Tydfil.
Our priority now is to work with the relevant parties to see what can be done to keep the factory producing and to ensure the best possible outcome for our members.”
