Unite, one of the largest unions in Wales, has called today’s (January 17) announcement of over 100 potential redundancies at Kelloggs, Wrexham a ‘kick in the teeth’ to the workforce.
Unite regional co-ordinating officer Peter Hughes said: “Today’s news that Kelloggs is looking to make 140 people redundant comes as real kick in the teeth to the workforce.
"As we now enter the 90 day consultation period we will be doing everything we can on behalf of our members to mitigate redundancies.
"Any potential job losses are, of course, bad news for those involved but also for the wider community and economy in north east Wales.”
