    On 6th July 1988 the seas 200 kilometres south east of Aberdeen were turned into a scene of total devastation. Of the 226 people working on the Piper Alfa oil platform, 165 died & two rescue workers perished.25 years on Unite has published a special leaflet on the tragedy & what lessons must be learned.
