Members of Unite have access to a wide range of services and benefits beyond representation in the workplace. These include legal services such as the 24 hour legal helpline for non-work related advice, the free will writing service, and personal injury claims which are conducted free of charge by our trusted and experienced panel of solicitors.
We also offer a number of specially negotiated benefits to help Members save money, all provided by designated partners who share Unite’s values. These include home and motor insurance, van insurance, mortgages, equity release, independent financial advice and debt counselling. These can be found on the affiliated benefits pages.
In addition, a variety of benefits have been developed specifically for members who are currently out of work. In particular, the Unite4Jobs website which can be used to search for jobs across the UK, apply for multiple vacancies simultaneously, help create a CV and provide practical advice on job interviews.
In the NEYH the regional legal and affiliated services coordinator (RLAC) is responsible for liaising between members, officials of Unite, our panel solicitors and affiliated partners, to ensure that we are getting the most out of our legal services and that our affiliated products are accessible. The RLAC focuses on linking individual members to the benefits which are of particular interest to them, and also facilitating the promotion of benefits in workplaces and at campaigns in order to keep members informed about what they are entitled to.
