Unite rejects a 2.5% pay offer from Govia Train franchise

09 October 2015

Unite have rejected as too late and too little a pay offer of 2.5% for engineering grades in the Govia train franchise and has asked for 3.25% if a dispute is to be avoided.

Govia includes the Thameslink and Southern train routes into the capital and is a major commuting route.

Hugh Roberts, Regional Officer, said “Pay talks have been in suspended animation because of management inertia since March when we rejected 1.9% and the pay review date was February so members patience has snapped.

Either an improved offer is made by October 17th or we will be in dispute."
