Unite today condemned London Underground's pay offer as an insult to its members.
London Underground have offered a 2 year deal from April 2015 to March 2017 consisting of a consolidated increase on all basic salaries in the first year of 0.5 % and RPI in the second year. For night tube, a non-consolidated payment of £500 split over 2 years, conditional on as yet "undefined milestones and consequential amendments to agreements".
Hugh Roberts, Unite officer, said "At previous meetings LUL had said they wanted to reach a faster deal over pay in 2015 than previous years. Unless LUL start tabling serious money it looks like pay negotiations will be difficult and protracted and night tube implementation placed on jeopardy. So be it !"
Pay talks resume tomorrow morning.
