Large turnout to say No to Trade Union Bill in Norwich

Large turnout to say No to Trade Union Bill in Norwich

05 January 2016

Unite held a popular public meeting in Norwich Football Stadium to help further the regional resistance to the government's Trade Union bill.

Around 70 Union representatives, community activists and People's assembly campaigners came to hear a number of high profile speakers from our Assistand General Secretary, Steve Turner, and other union speakers.

A solid turnout of regional activists also came to hear Norwich south MP and junior Minister Clive Lewis discuss the detail of the bill and its attack on our workplace rights, democracy and civil liberties. There was a mood of anger and disbelief at the level of attacks proposed.
