Race and Class: a journal on racism, empire and globalisation.
Published quarterly since the early 1970s by the Institute of Race Relations. The journal, available online and in printed format, has analysed, reported and reflected on some of the most significant political developments of the last four decades. As an example, issue 58 contains a major interview with Micky Fenn, left activist and TGWU member, on how the Unofficial Shop Stewards’ Committee at the London Docks dealt with racism, especially after some dockers quit work to join the London Smithfield Meat Market Porters’ Strike in support of Enoch Powell MP’s vitriolic speech against immigrant workers in 1968.
