1 regional learning manager (1 year fixed term contract), salary: £38,438
Do you want to be part of the Unite lifelong learning team to promote the value of continuing learning and union membership offered by Unite the union.
Unite is seeking to recruit 1 regional learning manager based in the North West region.
Ideally applicants will have a trade union background and experience of working in the learning and skills field.
Essential criteria for the regional learning manager role is the ability to:
Work independently, develop own caseload within the regional team; prepare reports to management and steering group; recruit and arrange training for union learning representatives (ULR); develop regional ULR networks;
Support ULRs, members, regional officers, TUC and other partners in establishing workplace learning activity;
Provide information, advice and support on the lifelong learning agenda.
Must also have an understanding of models of learning delivery in the workplace and the community.
Must be able to manage all the activities of the learning organisers to achieve nationally set targets, while focusing on regional priorities.
The position is funded by the Union Learning Fund (ULF) and is offered on a fixed term contract and secondee basis, commencing on 1 April 2014 until 31 March 2015.
Interviews will be held 24 February to 4 March 2014.
