Petition Shell to rename or remove the Pieter Schelte

In the week the world marked Holocaust Memerial Day, it has come to Unite's attention that Shell UK Ltd has awarded the Swiss-based Allseas Group SA the contract for the removal, transportation and load-in shore of the topsides of three of its Brent platforms situated on the UK continental shelf.

Allseas will use its newest vessel, the world’s biggest ship, the Pieter Schelte, named after a Dutch officer in the Waffen-SS for the task - something that has caused widespread outrage in the UK and wider afield.
