Somewhere in South West Surrey
Since taking over as secretary of state for health, Jeremy Hunt has lost 7,000 nurses, handed billions of our health pounds to his private sector friends, ‘downgraded’ a very successful London hospital and has kept out of sight as other hospitals and NHS services close units and sell off services.
The man is a menace to public health and must be stopped.
We need you to join the hunt for Jeremy Hunt in his South West Surrey constituency before he does any more damage to our NHS. We’ll be searching the streets of Surrey for the elusive health secretary and asking his constituents to put ‘I love NHS’ posters in their windows.
Join Unite and healthcare activists for a fun day of action and engagement. Help hand out flyers, share #SaveourNHS balloons and car stickers and get people to sign petitions against the closures of local hospital services and the privatisation of the NHS. It will be a fun day educating and informing local people about the current threat to the NHS.
And there could also be a special surprise from some London drama students before everyone comes together for a big demonstration in the heart of Hunt’s constituency.
So put the date in your diary. The NHS is 65 this year – it won’t make 70 if you don’t fight for it.
