Unite is the only union that is continuing the campaign against blacklisting.
In September in conjunction with Labour MPs we revealed how contemporary blacklisting is occurring on both large and small sites.
On Wednesday 6 December 2017 every Unite region will be holding a day of action against blacklisters in the region. For full details of the planned activities for the day of action in your region please contact your regional officials.
There will also be a lobby of Parliament where Unite members will have the opportunity to directly lobby their MPs on the ongoing blacklisting issues.
Unite is calling for:
- A full public inquiry into blacklisting
- New laws which would make blacklisting a criminal offence
- The introduction of public procurement rules which would prevent companies guilty of blacklisting from bidding for public sector contracts.
